One of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Robert De Niro, is at the centre of sensational claims from a longtime employee.
Robert De Niro was one sick “Focker” to his former assistant, a bombshell new lawsuit charges.
The “Raging Bull” actor is a pervy old man who made sexist comments and subjected his assistant to “gratuitous unwanted physical contact,” the suit says.
Chase Robinson charges in the lawsuit filed Thursday in Manhattan Federal Court that she worked for the “Goodfellas” actor from 2008 to April 2019.
“De Niro communicated in a hostile, abusive, and intimidating manner with Ms. Robinson. He attacked her in gender terms, calling her a ‘b—ch’ and a ‘brat.’ In speaking to Ms. Robinson, he called his female business partner a ‘c--t’ and referred to his executive assistants as ‘the girls.’ De Niro would unleash tirades against Ms. Robinson – often while he was intoxicated – in which he denigrated, berated, bullied, and hurled expletives at her,” the suit reads.
“De Niro made vulgar, inappropriate, and gendered comments to Ms. Robinson. He would joke with Ms. Robinson about his Viagra prescription. De Niro smirked to Ms. Robinson about his young paramour, who was around Ms. Robinson’s age. De Niro directed Ms. Robinson to imagine him on the toilet. He told Ms. Robinson that doing manual labor would ‘make a man out of you.’ De Niro suggested that Ms. Robinson could get pregnant using sperm from her (married) male co-worker.”
The suit includes a link to an obscenity-filled voicemail De Niro allegedly left Robinson threatening to toss her out on the mean streets. (WARNING: GRAPHIC LANGUAGE)
Robinson says she also was subjected to unwanted contact while working for the nightmare boss.
“De Niro initiated gratuitous physical contact with Ms. Robinson based on her gender. Among other things, De Niro would direct Ms. Robinson to scratch his back, button his shirts, fix his collars, tie his ties, and prod him awake when he was in bed. De Niro also stood idly by while his friend slapped Ms. Robinson on her buttocks,” according to the suit.
The star of “Dirty Grandpa” filed his own suit against Robinson in August for $3 million, alleging she was a slacker, stole money and binge-watched “Friends” while on the job. Robinson says that lawsuit is purely retaliatory.
De Niro’s volcanic temper has been on display during his ongoing divorce. He berated his driver in full view of reporters in February.
