Backstage whispers from WrestleMania 36 have revealed a shock response from WWE stars after they were threatened with instant dismissals.

Welcome to our live coverage of WrestleMania 36 Night 2 from the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando.

The wrestling world is still recovering from the epic final battle between AJ Styles and the Undertaker on Night 1 — but the heat is set to be turned to scorching when Brock Lesnar and John Cena headline a star-studded second day of action.

Watch WrestleMania Sunday 5th April & Monday 6th April at 9am (AEST) on WWE Network & Foxtel’s Main Event.

Aussie star Rhea Ripley opened the night two proceedings when she put her NXT title on the line against WWE legend Charlotte Flair.

The intensity reached incredible levels as the two warriors put on a stunning show to open the night with Rhea Ripley going down to WWE legend Charlotte Flair in an enthralling opening battle.

Without a crowd, both fighters lifted their trash talking levels and left those watching on praising their efforts for lifting the viewing level to even greater heights than the opening night.

Flair continually went after the left leg of Ripley and left her hobbled, but the Aussie managed to get her leg back underneath her and turn the momentum in the match.

But in the end it was the immense damage to the left leg that saw Flair capitalise after locking in a figure four leg lock and causing Ripley to tap out and hand the NXT title over to Flair.

The WWE has successfully plugged any leaks after the WresleMania 36 was filmed last week.

The biggest event in wrestling entertainment will reach a crescendo on Monday morning (AEDT) on the second night of the event, which was filmed behind closed doors in an empty arena in Florida.

In the days since it was filmed, no spoilers or leaks have circulated about the two-day spectacular.

It was revealed this week that the stars of the WWE were under threat of being fired on the spot if they were found to have leaked any information about the star-studded WrestleMania 36 card.

It’s been revealed since filming wrapped last week that the stars of the company reacted positively to the challenge of keeping all the gossip under wraps until the end of the pay per view.

Wrestling News reports the stars of the show embraced the challenge of putting on a show despite all the restrictions on the show caused by the coronavirus.

“From a number of wrestlers who were at the tapings, I did hear that this was not like a Saudia Arabia [feeling of] ‘let’s just get through this.’ The attitude among the wrestlers was, ‘everyone really wanted to work hard and try to make this work,’” reporter Wade Keller wrote.

“This did come across as a night where the wrestlers were like, ‘we’re here, we’re not here under protest or resentful or we don’t see this as [not] important.’ I was told the attitude among the crew was ‘lets surprise people.’ That was the attempt and I think it’s clear they were attempting to work hard and salvage this given the tough circumstances.”

The final fight of the night has taken part in a cemetery and looks more like a movie than a WWE fight with AJ Styles and the Undertaker duking it out in dramatic scenes and ominous music playing out in the background.

Styles had spent weeks mocking Undertaker by saying his wife continued to embarrass him, but the dead man had the last laugh in an epic wrap up of the first day of action.

As the two men fought around the cemetery, Styles thought he had it wrapped up when he dropped Undertaker into the hole in the ground only for Undertaker to rise from the dead and turn the tables on Styles.

Undertaker chased down a running Styles by throwing him off the roof of the shed and kicking him into the hole before dropping a truckload of dirt onto him and revealing a tombstone that read Styles’ name.

Fans watching on were split on the event that resembled a home made horror movie.
