The Japanese website Macotakara – which was responsible for predicting that Apple would ditch the headphone jack – says the new iPhone will have dual Bluetooth audio capabilities.
This means the new phone will be able to connect to two different sources of audio through Bluetooth at the same time. This technology can be used in a variety of ways – for instance, a couple could both connect headphones and watch a show together.
Apple enthusiast sites have been ripe all year with speculations about the next iPhone models designs. The latest, released last month, includes an updated camera and improved battery life.
Renderings of the iPhone 11 show three camera lenses arranged in a triangle formation, allowing telephotos and even wider shots. The front of the phone is expected to look similar to the design of the iPhone X series of phones, with the edge-to-edge screen and no home button.
Also like the 2018 iPhone XS release, the next iPhones are expected to be released with three models.
A routine complaint about the iPhone with every model is the life of the battery life. The next iPhones are expected to have a larger battery to sustain life longer.
Many wireless companies are planning to release editions of their phones that work with the new 5G standard, which promises speedier service. It is unclear when iPhone users can expect to have a 5G option; however, an end to thedisagreement between Apple and Qualcomm could mean 5G technology will be here as soon as 2020.
