The estate of former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez, who died in prison last week while serving a life sentence for the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd, has a value of $0.00, according to court documents.

The disclosure of the estate came about as a result of Shayanna Jenkins Hernandez’s attempt to sell Hernandez’s North Attleborough, Mass., home. Hernandez bought the 15-room, 7,100-square-foot home in 2012 for about $1.2 million, and the home is listed on realtor.com for roughly that amount. (The home features “a waterfall, a movie theater, a wet bar, built-in grill, jetted tub, gourmet kitchen and three-car garage” plus “a finished basement with a sauna, ice bath and space for a workout room,” according to the Boston Herald.)

Jenkins Hernandez, Aaron Hernandez’s fiancee, is seeking to accrue whatever monies she can from the sale of the house in order to address a wrongful-death suit filed against Hernandez’s estate by the mother of Odin Lloyd. Hernandez may also be entitled to an NFL pension at some point in the future. Hernandez did not have a will, and according to Jenkins Hernandez’s attorneys, died with “no monies available and no identifiable personal assets.”

Several court cases remain to be resolved in the wake of Hernandez’s death, including a request to set aside his murder conviction entirely. That case is scheduled for initial hearings in early May.
