While many have come before her and tried, The Netherlands native Glennis Grace, 38, could be the best Whitney Houston impersonator yet.
Videos of Ms Grace belting out Houston’s tracks including ‘I Will Always Love You’, ‘Greatest Love of All’ and ‘Didn’t We Almost Have it All’ have attracted hundreds of comments on social media about how the Amsterdam native “sounds exactly like” the late superstar, who died at the age of 48 in February 2012.
But it wasn’t until Ms Grace’s rendition of Houston’s ‘Run to You’ — performed at the 2017 Ladies of Soul concert at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam last week — that her work started to go viral.
“Am I the only one who felt Whitney Houston’s spirit through her singing? I’m shook,” one fan commented on a YouTube video of the performance.
Another wrote: “Oh my lord! This generation deserves a Whitney Houston to save their souls. That gave me chills, felt like a young Whitney Houston is again performing on stage.”
News.com.au has contacted Ms Grace for comment.
Ms Grace is an accomplished singer in her own right but has also made a name for herself as a talented impersonator, effortlessly taking off the likes of Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse, Etta James, Mariah Carey and others.
